Adrian Lester would be a perfect Doctor. But casting a woman would make the programme rubbish. Why not cast a pigeon or an abstract concept for the role whilst we’re at it? Besides, he has a super daughter now, if they want to spin-off yet again.

I do think it rather mirthsome that (in these times) with Who and the American election a woman still Will Not Do.

Joanna Lumley played the part as a gag in the Comic Relief special Doctor Who and the Curse of Fatal Death (I shouldn’t let people know I know this stuff), and that was written by Steve Moffatt, the new executive producer. You may get your wish yet.

Perhaps we could get a sexually ambiguous midget to play his assistant, while we’re at it.

Anything done by him will be fine though – he’s a safe pair of hands.

I think we need a black, jewish, lesbian midget for the next asst…

What about imaginary people? Or the souls of unconceived babies? They never came close to living, thanks to dad having a sly wank on his bog, we can at least have them represented on Doctor Who!
