Slow news day 2

September 11, 2007

When I was at journalism school (yes, I bloody have got qualifications, you know) we were told that, when writing news, one must be very careful not to write a ‘nothing happened’ story.

Thus, a man that wasn’t harmed after a fire, becomes a daring rescue story about a man who dramatically escaped injury.

Shame the folks over at Digital Spy didn’t take the same course.
