Heinous, dude…

July 11, 2007

Gutted about this. What is the point in doing a sequal without at least one of the original stars eh? And if rumours are true (about Reeves’ agent advising him against it) then I’m sorry DUDE but you’ve like totally passed up a most bodacious opportunity.

Jeez, even feckin Harrison Ford can see the positives of refreshing a franchise. And it’s not as if much of the films he’s done since have done much for his career. Johnny Mnemonic anyone? Even the Matrix sequels were a let down and cemented in people’s minds the fact that Reeves can only do wooden, or surfer dude. The role of Ted was perfect for him – he didn’t have to act much…

I for one am most certainly not looking forward to what is sure to be a most heinous re-hash of what were totally momentous works of contemporary culture, dudes!

Did you see The Lakehouse? Oh dear…

I can do an impression of Reeves, here, tell me what you think (I’m now clearing my throat, rather too theatrically): “There’s a bomb on the bus, dude”. I’m bloody great at impressions, me.

Very good Rich. You were obviously channeling the wooden one. Yes, I saw the Lakehouse and must have been having a girly moment as I wept like a big weeping thing. Silly. What a stupid film.

He was good in Speed, and that surfing one. Basically ones where he didn’t have to talk much. Hmmm.

Ha-ha, you cried too! It was funny, when the cinema lights came up, the amount of women crying was unbelieveable, most of them looked menopausal though.

TBH I can’t actually remember much of it. But then any of those ‘love across the years’ things get me every time (Bram Stokers Dracula, especially – gawd, it’s feckin Reeves again. He’s such a slut!)
