Ford has had its knuckles wrapped because their advert for the Ford Focus Zetec Climate used footage from the latest Bond film when actually the film features the Ford Mondeo car.

The Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) said: “We considered that, because of the difficulty in differentiating between the two cars, the ad was likely to give the misleading impression that the Focus Zetec Climate was used in the film Casino Royale, which could make it more attractive to some viewers.”

Sorry, but if you’re that brain-dead as to buy a car purely because you think it’s been in a Bond film then you deserve to be disappointed. I’m no Jeremy Clarkson (perish the thought) but even I know that he most important thing to bear in mind when buying a car is the colour.
