Film-a-rama

A busy weekend for goggle boxing (my fave sport). But not so much of the traditional telly variety. First up we’re about four episodes from the end of Lost season three, and lord knows how they’re going to tie everything up by then. But of course they won’t. That’s the point and no one’s expecting [...]

If you were as unfortunate as I to catch Life Line on Tuesday evening you’ll too be as frustrated as I was to have wasted an hour of my life. An hour. Think of what you could do in an hour… Probably write something better for starters.
The premise of this god-awful two-parter was two [...]

GMTV balls up

So GMTV (who were so smug when discussing other program’s phone ’scams’ ;) have promised that all entrants to their phone competitions will receive compensation and are now working out how to go about administering such a promise.
Expect an announcement later today for all entrants to call, 09011 400 900 leaving their details…

I can’t believe GMTV shrugged off Alec Baldwin’s abusive phone message to his daughter with something along the lines of, “Well, parents of 11-year-olds can be at the end of their tether sometimes,” and “Well, we don’t know the whole situation, do we.”

And how [...]

When I was training, we had a series of lectures on the dangers of journalism (both mental and phyisical) but what has [...]

To borrow slightly from those Monty Python chaps, being a Kike, a Yid, a Hebe, a Hook-nose, Kosher and a Red Sea Pedestrian and proud of it, I was very interested in Blue Suede Jew, a documentary about a Jewish Elvis impersonator (BBC2 Monday 16th April).
And what classic TV it was. Hate to be [...]

So much on over the weekend it’s another crap capsulated round-up I’m afraid.
So Friday night and to Derren Brown’s Trick Or Treat (10pm Ch4, Fridays). Usually, I’m the first to gush at how amazing Derren is and how I’m totally in lurve with him. But I had a really uneasy feeling when he woke [...]

Why today has been lucky:I have a new boss and today was my first day working with him. Things are very positive so far.I am in a good post-holiday mood (instead of the usual miserable one). It’s Friday and therefore the weekend.
Why today was unlucky:I good (work) friend of mine is away in Africa for about [...]
